We Need to Be Concerned about Honeybees
Why care what is happening to honeybees? Simple.
FOOD!
Bees are one of the main pollinators of almost all fruits, nuts and vegetables. All over the world the number of pollinators are in serious decline. Scientists do not definitely know the reason or reasons behind this decline.
We need to curb the destructive practices of pesticide and synthetic chemical use on lawns, weeds, plants and food crops. There is also the concern that genetically modified plants may be involved with this problem. It is one thing to hybridize a plant to get better disease resistance but an entirely different agenda when you go against the natural diversity of each kind of species on our planet.
